May 19, 2007We're LA BLACK PARADE!
So, I just had the most amazing night ever.
I definitely went to see My Chemical Romance. Finally. After 3 months of waiting! We (Tara 1 and I) took the C Train (Calgary Train) to Pengrowth Saddledome, and after walking for what felt like a long time we finally got into the building. We got through security no problem. We proceeded to find section 224. When we got to our section, the usher lady said that we could most likely be relocated to a better spot, as I'm really short. So, we went to guest services. What happened next surprised the hell out of me. We were relocated to section 110, row one, seats one and 2. We never realized HOW CLOSE TO THE STAGE WE WERE! Today was the one day I was actually proud to be short. Anyway. The first band came on. The Bleed. They were okay. They played a half an hour set, then we waited almost 45 minutes for My Chem. 45 minutes later, the fun started. The lights were cut, and beeping ensued. Gerard was wheeled out onto the stage on a gurney. Lots of screaming ensued. Confetti was blown everywhere. Asses were shaken. Gerard said that they were "La Black Parade. It's French. Come on guys, get with it!" Heheheh. I can't remember the order of the songs played. But it's probably not that important. What is important is that Gerard has a beautiful ass. And he shakes it well. He also claimed that we are all "beautiful girls". More ass shaking ensued, and Gerard said "Unfortuneately, The Black Parade will be leaving soon. Then you will have to deal with the likes of My Chemical Romance. They're very vulgar and are horrible dressers!" So, they played a few more songs as the Black Parade, then My Chem came out. Amazing, to say the least. Frank really played his heart out. Him and Gerard were flying all over the stage. You'd never think they're all in their late 20's, early 30's. They're so full of energy. At one point, Frank was playing guitar around Gerard's knees. Gerard laughed, pushed Frank. I guess Frank retaliated, because Gerard said "Frank just bit my dick! And I liked it!" There was something else said, but I can't remember. I know Helena was the last song. I was sad. I didn't want it to be over. All in all, an AMAZING concert. An AMAZING night was had. I bought a poster and a shirt to take home with me. And as I'm too tired to write anything else right now, it will end here. There was a lot more that went on. But I can't even think right now.
